I love being a Mommy!

The last few days I have just been thinking about how much I LOVE being a mom. Maybe that is because Macie has been doing amazing with her sleeping schedule lately. But whatever it is, I am so grateful that Reed and I get to have this little angel in our lives. She was well worth the wait. I am so lucky to be able to stay at home with her. She changes so fast, and I don't have to miss it. My love for my little girl just keeps growing, and so does my love for Reed! I've been thinking a lot about this lately, and feeling lucky, so I thought I would share.

Happy Birthday Dad!

Today is my Dad's birthday! I just wanted to let him (and everyone else) know that I love him. Happy birthday dad!

My baby is growing up too fast!

The last couple nights Macie has slept in her own room, which is kind of a big deal for me. A couple weeks ago I moved her just outside of our bedroom door (baby steps). And that was hard enough! I even moved her back into our room after a few nights, ha ha! But the other day I decided to be tough and have her sleep in her own room and go to sleep without me rocking her. I thought I was going to be in for a long, rough night, but she did great! She only cried for about five minutes before she fell right asleep, with her thumb in her mouth of course. It's so fun to see her grow, but I am sad to watch her change so fast!

The thumb!

Despite our efforts, Macie has found her thumb. It happened Sunday, and she has loved it ever since!

New toy!

This is Macie's cute little pout.

Macie loves the swing she is borrowing from the Johnsons! Which is good for me because she has become bored with her other one. Thank you Katie!

Carving pumpkins!

Last weekend we went over to Klay and Lindsey Johnson's house for dinner and we carved pumpkins! Lindsey made some amazing chicken noodle soup (much better than mine) which I am going to try out on Jed and Jeannette tonight. Wish me luck! I forgot our camera that night, so the Jack-O-Lanterns are looking a little wilted. Reed did a skull, and of course, mine is the face. I am so creative! Happy Halloween!

Camping again!

Last weekend we went camping with Kyle and Katie Johnson and their two little girls. Macie did so good again, which makes it a lot of fun. Even though it's pretty cold this time of year, it is so beautiful up in the mountains right now. And we have a heater in our camper, so it wasn't bad at all. It was actually pretty hot in there at night. It was nice to go spend time with Reed and Macie and the Johnsons. We went on a four-wheeler ride, and Macie still likes it. We put her in a front carrier and she was big enough to face out this time. She cooed and squealed until she fell asleep.

Bath Time!

Our little girl loves her baths! She likes splashing in the water, but especially loves to be NAKED! She only laughs for me every once in a while. But most of the times she has, it was when she was naked.

Halloween Costume

This is Macie's first Halloween costume! I thought it was pretty cute, and it's super warm! You can't really tell from this picture, but it is a bunny rabbit.

Macie's Blessing

Okay, so this was a long time ago, but better late than never, right? Macie was blessed September 28. She slept through the whole thing so she never made a peep, which was a relief to Reed. It was a beautiful blessing, and Reed's aunt Sherrie even wrote it down in short hand and then wrote the whole thing out for us. It will be so nice for us and Macie to have as she grows older. Here are a couple pictures of our baby girl in her beautiful little dress.
