Introducing.......

Allie Ruth Denning!  This sweet little girl was born on Thursday, October 20.  She was 6 lbs 15 oz, 19 1/2 in long.  She's just PERFECT, and we love her to death!  The labor and delivery went amazingly well, and Allie has been an angel.  We went in to be induced on Thursday morning and I had my first contractions at about 6:45.  Everything went quick, and I got my epidural at about 8:30.  Allie was born at about 10:30 AM. She came out so easy, so recovery for me has been great.  She's been a great little eater, and knew how to do it as soon as she was born!  And so far, she is a great sleeper.  The first night home she slept through the night, and I woke her up about 5:30 to make sure she was ok.  Then she ate and went back to sleep.  Next night I woke her up at about 3, and that was the only time she woke up, and again, she went right back to sleep.  Since then she wakes up a couple times, but just to eat.  She has been such a little angel, and none of us can get enough of her!  She is such a sweetheart!  I was so nervous about her coming so soon after Branson, but now I can't imagine her not being here, I love her so much.  I know it's only the first week, and she might not always be so easy.  But I'm so glad she was in the beginning.  It makes such a huge difference to be well rested!  Macie LOVES her new baby, and is constantly asking to hold her.  Branson loves to see "baby", he can't say Allie yet.  And he has done really well with her and all the changes.  Reed has been amazing and patient with me and the kids and my changing hormones. :)  I am so lucky, and feel so blessed to have my little family.  Thank you to everybody who has called or stopped by or helped with meals or kids, makes it that much easier.  Here is a look at Allie Ruth's birthday........

First few minutes of life with us.

Couple hours later.

Sleeping on Daddy.  Reed could snuggle her for hours, and he does when he gets the chance.

Such a sweet little girl.

Ignore the bed-head. :)  Me and Allie a couple hours after she was born.

Macie LOVED being at the hospital......she's been looking forward to it for a long time!  She actually wanted to stay the night.

The Fam......

This is going to sound really bad, but I am finally starting to get excited to meet our new little girl! Which is good, since I'm due in a week from today! I was so worried for so long, that I just stressed about it instead of thinking about what a miracle it really is. I am so thankful for my crazy little family, and am excited to be adding to it again. I'm sure it will be crazy and overwhelming sometimes, but it will be worth it. While I was setting up for a photo session for a friend, I got a few shots of my kids that I thought captured them being them.....makes me laugh.

I was trying to get the lighting and settings right on my camera, and Branson sat down and started posing and saying, "CHEE!" He's so funny and makes me laugh, and go crazy, every day.  He makes up for his wild ways by being super snugly and lovey.  You can see from this picture that he has a favorite bear that is never far away....it's getting so gross.

Classic Branson and Macie.....looks like he is planning something.

I love this picture....I wish I would have got them in cute clothes and done there hair...oh well.

Macie is growing up so much!  She is ALWAYS asking tons of questions, even what time it is, and is always pretending.  She's very observant, so we have to watch out.  She makes me laugh with the things she comes up with, and she's very excited on most days to have a baby sister.

How can I forget Reed?!  I love this man!  He's put up with so much moodiness and craziness from me this pregnancy, haha.  He works so hard for our family.  He's had lots of projects this year, and has just finished and amazing fire pit outside, and planted new grass.  And built a storage spot in our attic.  I know I'm forgetting a lot....let's just say he is amazing.  Reed also started a new job a couple months ago.  It was a bit of a career change!  He is now the accountant/controller at an engineering company in Idaho Falls called ES2.  He seems to really like it and is super busy there.  Thanks babe, for everything you do for our family!
P.S. Reed wanted me to add that he was not posing for this picture, I made him sit there while I was getting the settings on my camera before I took some photos for some friends.  But I liked it, so I put it on here :)
I have been able to take a few family's pictures this year, some senior pictures, and just did my first child photo session (that wasn't my own kids) yesterday.  For anyone interested in looking at them, I've done a couple since I posted the update on here last time.  I also did about 4 posts on this blog today, so I am finally pretty much caught up!  One less thing I have to worry about before our baby gets here.

Veggies Galore!

This year our garden has been amazing! Well, except for the weeds that got out of hand as I got huger and huger. But we are still getting SO MUCH out of it. I can't believe how much food you can grow (when your garden actually works) in a small spot. My garden is huge for me, but compared to some others, it's really not that big. And every few days it's just bags and bags of veggies with tons still out there....crazy! Thank you Reed for the dump truck load of poop that you put on it this spring:) And for the automatic sprinklers, so I don't have to remember to water!  Here are a few pictures of just one of the days of picking veggies.....there have been so many more!

Projects....

It's been fun having some projects to do while I'm waiting around for this baby to come, but I still have so many in my head and in my closet that haven't gotten done yet.  I guess those will have to wait.  Here are some that did get finished though........

After......

Before......

I actually made these a couple years ago.....got the idea off my friend Jenny's blog.  I think they're so fun, and made two sets.  I have lots of salsa and pickle jars saved to make more, but didn't get around to it this year.

I painted and glazed the basket....and grew the stuff inside :)

Same here.....

New bows for the baby and Macie......I've made more, but no pictures.
Wall hanging for baby's room.  I need to do a lot more in there, but I guess that will wait.
Car seat cover
Couple new blankets and pillow for baby girl.....still don't have a name, in case you were wondering.
And a few baby legs.

Canning 2011

This year I had some issues canning, hence the 2 tomatoes and 2 apple pie fillings.  While I was doing those my jars kept breaking and ruining everything!  But I was able to try a couple new things this year like salsa and pickles.  Here are the spoils.....

Tomatoes (from our neighbor's garden)

Salsa

Apple Pie Filling (from my parents trees)

Peaches

Green beans (from mine and my sister Debbie's garden)

Pickles (from my garden)

More Photo Blog Updates......

I was able to take our good friends' family pictures again this year, and also some senior pictures of a boy in ward.  I had so much fun!  I know, it's pretty bad that I haven't posted forever and this is what I'm finally posting.  I'll TRY to catch up in the next couple weeks because that's all I have left until our baby is here!
