FuN iN tHe Sun...

A couple weeks ago Reed had to work out of town for about a week, and can I just say that I am SO glad I am not a single mother:) I am such a baby, and I just hate when he leaves because I have to stay by myself at night. I come from a family of 11 kids, so growing up I was never home alone. But even more than I hate being scared at night, I missed my hubby:) In a way I am glad he left for a while so I could be reminded of just how much I love him and need him with me in my life. Last week he got home early on Friday so we decided to go to the ZOO, but it was already closed. So, we decided feeding the ducks was the next best thing...

I thought Macie would be so excited to see all the ducks and geese around us because she loves to see our friends' and family's pets. But.....she was way more interested in the bread! She didn't even care about any of the birds at all, but I think she ate three whole slices of bread!

On the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend we went on a four-wheeler ride at the sand dunes with Grandpa Jody and Troy! Grandma wasn't there so Macie got to take her spot in the side by side. We strapped her car seat in and she was a really good sport about wearing the helmet her grandparents got her:)
All strapped in and ready to go...

Doesn't she look like a little bobble-head doll? But a cute one, of course:)

It was a really fun ride and Macie did great the whole time. We also went on a different ride on Memorial day and she loved that one too. I guess Reed might get his wish and have his daughter love motorcycles! This picture is really disgusting, but I thought it was funny. I didn't even know I was dirty until I saw Troy and Reed!
Macie also still LOVES the water! We went swimming this weekend with some friends and she was so happy to be in the pool. It's so nice to have such an easy-going little girl.

The other day I left the room for a second and when I came back in I found Macie on top of the step by our window. Now that she's figured out how to climb up there she won't stop doing it! She is also learning how to stand up on her own. She gets so excited when she sees she's not holding onto something that she starts to laugh and loses her balance. It's so CUTE! I can't believe how old she is getting! Today I put her hair in pig tails and she looked SO grown up. She brings us so much happiness, and we love her to death!

Ditto on the whole hubby thing. I'm no pioneer. Those women were amazing, I couldn't even last a little while!!

I completely understand! I hate it when Mike and I are away from each other! Hope that doesn't happen too often. Macie sure is cute -- did you still want to try and get some pictures of her? If so, let me know, I think I've got some cute ideas!

You have such a cute little girl! Aubree loves sitting here on my lap looking at the pictures and saying 'Macie' over and over again.
